@ school right now, during period 1. We're supposed to have biology at the moment, but because our bio teacher is so awesome, she said we could have a free.
Since we just finished our exams last week, we have absolutely NOTHING to do.
Thank God the library is free....

exploding laptops

I'm finally back into blogger after being M.I.A because of my exploding laptop that now needs to be fixed.

Do you know how scared I was when the whole exploding thing happened?

I was sitting on my bed, happily surfing the net on my laptop.

(I believe I was on YouTube)

All of a sudden I heard zapping and could smell something funky. I looked around and saw that under my bed, the laptop charger was smoking and zapping.

Seriously, my whole life flashed before my eyes.

I didn't know whether I should go outside and get someone, or go and put on rubber slippers before touching it or just unplug the damn thing.

I was literally running back and forth from the door and my bed.

(I must have looked like an idiot)

the zapping became worse so I just unplugged it out of power board.

Thank God I didn't get electrocuted.

hmmm...

now I'm left using my Mum's office laptop which means I can't install things that I need.

disaster..

oh well, at least I can use something while my laptop is being fixed.

do you like my new layout by the way?

I don't have time to add the little tid bits that I normally would so I'll try working on that.

I'm supposed to be doing my maths homework and my biology assignment but I'm obviously too distracted by this blog post.

the assignments have finally settled down, and the stress is ebbing. But don't be fooled nica, this is just a frighted peace. Just peace waiting to be disturbed once more. I spent the whole day with Mum, joined also with my uncle and aunt, going op shopping, scavenging through several vinnie's and salvos. You never know what you might just find. Its definitely one of my favourite things to do.
I found and bought 4 more books that I've always wanted to read ;

and all for under $15! can you believe that!!!??!?? My library is definitely growing, as well as my reading list. Don't worry, I'll get there. I'm almost finished Not Without My Daughter and I've started reading A Walk To Remember.
My mother found my some red skinny jeans from Jay Jays for just $6! lucky she found it because I have a gift card for Jay Jays and was planning on using it on some skinny jeans. To top that off, Mum also found 3 awesome bags, all in great condition. one was Prada, so cute you could just eat it up. Mother was determined to find some clothes for Angelou, and clothes she received, most of which were from Jay Jays. Finding all of these great things makes me wonder why they were donated just like that. Oh well, its an advantage for us.

have you realised that I've finally discovered the beauty of different sizes, colours, italics and boldness of the font! it makes my posts interesting to look at I guess.
well, best be off to finally finish some books.

the title can not say it any better. as I was walking from the station to the car, I noticed an unpleasant smell, and at the last moment I realised there was animal droppings on the ground. thanks elyssa for laughing at me ... just you wait. I had to take my stinkin shoe off and chuck it into the back of the car. people with dogs.... MAKE SURE YOU PICK UP THEIR CRAP! thank you.

"Dear John" and "A Walk to Remember" both by Nicholas Sparks. Better get cracking on those then, right after "Not Without My Daughter".
I love Sparks. How many movies have been made from his books?

4 weeks in school. feels good to be back. but it does feel weird being a senior at school. It still seems like I'm in year 10 or something. I like wearing my senior uniform, haha, it makes me feel senior, although I still don't have my senior jumper so whenever it's cold, I don't like wearing my maroon one. oh, and on thursdays, I can never decide whether to wear my sport uniform or my senior uniform, you see, only the juniors have sport and if you wear your sport uniform on thursday, you end up looking like a junior, which I am no longer.
jeez enough ranting about uniforms.

my family's love for books has resulted in a 1 month competition.
who ever reads the most books in one month wins the pride and glory. the competitors are:
Mum, Angelou and me :)

Me : 0.5 ( I'm half way through a book right now) Yes, I'm the slowest reader you will ever meet. This is not an exaggeration, I have read this book every day at my fastest pace and still I haven't finished it. I don't understand!!!!!!

right now I'm reading "Not Without My Daughter" by Betty Mahmoody. You have to read this. I'm using it as my additional material for English, which means I need to finish it pretty soon before my teacher finds out that I haven't finished it. :)
"19 Minutes" really want to start reading this one by Jodi Picoult.
"Prada and Prejudice" a teen novel by Hubbard that I picked off the shelf because I liked the title :)
"Barry Trotter and the Shameless Parody" the parody of Harry Potter that was obviously chosen because it sounds funny.
and "Between Two Eternities" by Rosemary Kay, this one is also very touching. A small premature baby in intensive care. It's also written in the baby's perspective which is cute :)

long long long time no blog :)
summer holidays, over and done with. I'm having mixed emotions about going back to school on Friday... you know what's weird? When you go back to school after the holidays and your hand writing is all stuffed up!
It has been an awesome holiday, going on a family vacation to Nelson bay for 3 days, whale watching on the wild, unpredictable seas, sand boarding on the gigantic dunes, going on a cruise then sitting in a net in the water being dragged along by that cruise boat, fish 'n' chips, burying myself in sand and those long hours in the car, singing to the songs on the radio. great fun :)

I just finished watching "My Sister's Keeper" with my Mum and sister. Don't ever watch this movie when you are freshly sun burnt. My tears literally stung my burnt cheeks, which were fried due the the fact that I forgot to wear sunscreen before spending an entire day at Luna Park for a science excursion.
As a result, my eyes have gone completely puffy and it looks like I just had a major allergic reaction to my own tears. I'm not joking, the movie made me cry every 2 minutes and when the movie was finished, I could not open my eyes, no exaggeration.

dear world,
guess what! once again I've managed to lose/misplace my ipod TOUCH! This is no joke. I've got my whole family and myself frantically looking ALL over our house and cars in search of my brown little pouch which holds my beloved iPod and school ID card. Tha's right, my ID card.
*sigh* maybe it got stolen at school or something. But I've looked in my locker, in my school bag, in the office, in the library.... practically everywhere! far out. My parents are not giving me a new one and I don't blame them. I don't trust myself either.where is it !
i think the only places left to look is at my piano teacher's house or the PE rooms near the school swimming pool. !!!!
I miss my iPod!

dear person who might have stolen my iPod,
give it back now or I will hunt you down and make sure you have nightmares!
My ID card is in there as well, so you know who the iPod belongs to ! ME!

what makes facebook so addictive?
is it the thrill when you see that little red box next to your notification icon?
is it the excitement you get when you get tagged?
is it because socializing with friends is easier?
is it the free gifts friends send to you for the games?
is it the games themselves?
hmm...
i reckon it's all these factors that play a part in the addiction of facebook.
i personally can admit that i can not live a day without logging onto facebook.
even though i've spent an entire day at school with my friends, i still find it necessary to talk to them after school hours.
i mostly blame the addiction on the games!
i just have to constantly check on my farm in case any of my crops die and make me lose precious gold coins. (farmville)
i just have to make sure my fish are well fed and are swimming in a clean tank. (happy aquarium)
i have to make sure that my character in (sorority life) is earning money and getting popular.
i have to make sure my little witch is getting educated (school of wizardry)
i have to play with my little pet and make sure she's clean and happy (pet society)
it's the urge to reach the next level and to earn to rewards for the achievements. it's the satisfaction of moving up in the rankings.

yup! That's right, I'm in the Da Vinci Code phase.
I've watched the movie and I am reading the book!
OMGosh, how awesome. I regret not reading it earlier.
But I have to admit, getting into the phase later than everyone else is kind of an advantage because I went out shopping one day and I bought the Da Vinci Code board game for $8 !!!!
I found out that my friend who also loves The Da Vinci Code paid over $20 for it..

I've always been a big fan of Hawaii, but recently I've realised that my obsession has grown. haha, I think it's because everyone says I look like I've come from some sort of pacific island. HA! .. (it's called the Philippines!), even my family. So, I've regarded Hawaiians as my people! yeahhh.. aloha ohana!

HI... long time no type!

Have you ever slept through a night where you though you'd freeze to death? Well, when I was in Canberra with the commerce classes for our over night trip, I seriously thought I wouldn't see the light of the next day. It was freezing! Despite the fact that we had the heater on ALL night... it absolutely did NOTHING! except heat our garlic bread one of my friends brought along. When we got to our lodge, our group only had 4 people so we were taken away from the main group and were given our own little cabin. It was pretty cool, we had our own kitchen, lounge, TV, bathroom, 3 single beds and 1 king size bed. It was awesome. We didn't want to use the oven to heat up the garlic bread, that's why we used the pathetic heater :) My group all arranged for us to bring food so we could pig out in the cabin.... and boy did we have A LOT of food!

Throughout the night, we decided to leave the TV on because it made the cabin feel "homie". Yes.... teenage girls do get home sick even after 1 day away from home. the 3 single beds were stacked up like a bunk bed so i had to sleep on the one practically on the floor because the middle one was taken and the top one was wayyy too high and had absolutely no railings! but I was fine with my bed. During my sleep, I was constantly woken up by the television. singing, music, talking. I checked it out and realized it was Michael Jackson's memorial. I really wanted to stay awake and watch it, however I was aware of the day ahead of us so I acted mature and went back to bed. ^^

In the morning, I found out what I missed out on. The memorial was one the news and darn! I should have watched it!!!!!!!

anyway....

that morning we were the first ones out of our cabin and our bus driver, Ron, told us that we could put our bags on the bus.. sweet. ! that meant we had free time while the others packed and boarded the bus.

During that free time, we decided to check out the others' rooms.

Once we stepped into the first room, I swear, our jaws literally dropped. They had really really really nice rooms. Proper air-cons, 4 sets of really nice bunk beds and really awesome bathrooms. Their rooms were so warm and they had FLAT SCREEN TVS! I'm serious... oh! except for Athena's room hahahaha ^^

I literally went into every cabin, and yes, the people in there thought I was a weirdo.

oh well.

I even saw inside the teacher's rooms...

*sigh* oh well, we survived the night in our own cabin and we didn't complain. They didn't have a kitchen hahaha.
anyways... The trip was awesome, it was really fun. I had a great time with my friends while learning some cool stuff.
HIGHLIGHTS:
ummm.. Questacon.!!!!! who doesn't love that place? we went on the roller coaster stimulator thingo about 3 times. I was lucky enough to bring my video camera so I was able to film it. It wasn't really THAT scary, but everyone was screaming just for the sake of it. What do you expect from girls like us?
I went on the free-fall twice. I never expected me to ever do such things. But I knew I would regret it if I didn't go. That's what happened to me on my grade 6 Canberra trip.

The OLD Parliament House.
To be honest, that parliament house is wayy more interesting that the current one. We had to wear these white gloves because it was a national heritage site and we have oils in our skin that would apparently damage the place. Those gloves made it feel extra special. We went into the Senate chamber, the red one and.. WOW! It was so.... pretty! we held a mock session in there and that was a blast. We were shown the seat where the Queen had sat in twice! That really blew me away. The place felt so much historic than the current parliament house. We were given a tour to the Prime Minister's office, which was left in exact condition as the last Prime Minister who was in there left it. That was awesome. We were all thinking how cool it would be if we found some secret compartments in there, you know, like National Treasure 2 or something like that.. But sadly there wasn't anything, we asked our tour guide. She said the only "secretive" thing in the room was a small peep hole that looks into the Prime Minister's office from his secretary's office.

We were supposed to go to Telstra Tower @ after Questacon, but we ended up going to Mt. Aisnley. I'm telling you, it was FREEZING!. totally one of the coldest places I've been to. Mt. Ainsley was just a look out point so yes, you could imagine how cold it would have been at night. some picture taking took place. You could see the city of Canberra in lights. It was really pretty out there. And on the way up and down the mountain, our bus driver, Ron, drove really slowly because there were HEAPS of kangaroos in the way. I totally loved that experience.

Yeah, those 3.5 hour trips were really relaxing. I sat with Kim on the bus and the teachers were kind enough to put on movies while we travelled. The Notebook and Australia. Excellent choices.

so basically the whole trip was awesome! My digital camera crashed and I had nothing but my phone and my video camera with only a limited amount of free space! So sadly, I had to rely on my phone, which was quickly running out of battery and my friends' cameras. I'll hopefully get enough pictures so I can post them up.

Thank God I only had one performance!
I stuffed up, but I'm praying that it wasn't that obvious.... which I bet it was since I smiled every time I made a mistake. I bet it was caught on video, which I haven't seen yet..
hmmm... glad that was over.
during the performance I just felt myself go redder and redder. Just really happy that the background lighting was red, I don't know why though ?_?
I was in the fourth performance which meant that I had the rest of the night to wait till the event was over. I basically just talked to friends and made new ones and tried out some new instruments. Did you know I used to play the flute?? LOL

overall, it was a really fun experience.
I can't wait to see what next term's performing arts night brings.

I know, I haven't blogged in a really long time. Is it really a surprise? I mean, I have so little time nowadays.
the content of this blog post will obviously reflect on what I've been up to and what's been happening so far, as you can tell from the title of the post. I want to do this the easy way, since I have quite a bit to talk about, therefore, I have used sub-headings. Aren't I a clever cookie? =)

So, great news, I'm finally working!!!!
I'm earning my own money and boy does it feel good! After half a year of job hunting, I've finally been accepted to a job which I totally enjoy and, not to brag, actually good at. Though I must be honest, my shifts can be tiring, but who cares right?! I'm totally enjoying it! I love the people I work with, I've gotten to know them and they were so welcoming!

I just received the report yesterday... da da dum!!!!
I wasn't THAT pleased but I was relieved that it didn't turn out to be one of those heart-attack-causing, commit-suicide-before-parents-see type reports. Most of my grades were B's, but that gives me room to improve for next semester. (hopefully I'll improve)! I was really proud of my science report. I absolutely love science!
My school has the performing arts night tomorrow and it's my first time to perform a big piece. I'm so nervous, but I've been told that that part is normal. I'm playing the violin in a quartet and I'm playing a piece called " Fugue" along with 5 other violinist (even though a quartet is for 4 players only. That's because we have more than 4 violinist) I play the fourth violin part, which is the easiest part out of the quartet. (because I suck!) I'm honestly not that great at playing the violin, but its great fun. I started last year and i have improved quite a bit. Practice makes perfect =)
I'm praying to God that everything goes well tomorrow night !

The history elective class, including me, went on an excursion today to the city. Its as the first time EVER that the teachers told us we could roam around the city, totally UNSUPERVISED! The freedom was overwhelming, we didn't know what to do, so we ended up buying our recess and lunch -_-" . We were allowed to roam around twice.! The field trip was very enjoyable since there is only one history elective class in grade 10 in my school, so there was only a handful of students.
In the bus on the way into the city, we passed by the Slip Inn, yes, the meeting place of Princess Mary and Prince Frederick of Denmark! I've passed it many times already but for some reason every time I pass it, I tend to get very excited and giggly! Some of you might not have know but I LOVE royal people! I was sooo obsessed with Princess Mary and Prince Frederick in grade 6, it was scary!
We also passed Martin Place where Sunrise is filmed, and I got excited there as well. I was seriously like a tourist!

I'm currently reading two books, My Sister's Keeper by Jodie Picoult and The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards. Two touching stories, if you haven't read them...READ THEM!
I was totally depressed when the situation between Jon and Kate worsened. Discovery Home and Health is on of my favourite channels. I watch almost everything on there. I love Jon & Kate plus 8! That show is so adorable and so interesting. I'm not sure what will happen next, but seriously, I think the cameras need to give the family a break. The reality show curse... grrr... Poor kids. I feel like I know each one of them. !
Charmed has not died down!!!! still completely obsessed with them! I watch the DVDs in my spare time (which I actually don't have at the moment) and I watch videos on my iPod of Charmed. I can't wait till the holidays, I feel a Charmed Marathon coming up!

Coco gave birth .. AGAIN! for the third time!
this time was less successful than the previous ones. She originally had four puppies, though one of them dies =( .
she's a tad over protective of the at the moment so I haven't been able to see what they are or take a good look at them. She wasn't like that before. perhaps its because one the them died. Hopefully she relaxes soon so we can take a proper look at her puppies. I'm hoping not to get too attached to them, like the previous batch of puppies. I have crying my eyes out when we sold them to the pet shop. Its so hard to let go of them once you get to know what they are like and you get to bond with them.

Just some books that i really enjoyed reading. read them!
(in no particular order)

The Baby-Sitters Club. - Ann M. Marin
ahh, the primary school days. I seriously love this series! Great stories of friendships, family school and all the other things in between. The picture is obviously just one of the many books in the series, "Dawn and the Impossible Three". I remember re-reading this one in grade six. ^^

The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic - Sophie Kinsella
This book is hilarious. I read it last year after my mum told me to read it. In the book, you'll meet Rebecca Bloomwood, an amusing shopaholic who finds herself doing the strangest things to earn the money she needs to pay off her enormous bill.

The Prophecy of the Gems - Flavia Bujor
This book took me a while to read. I read it some time 2 or 3 years ago. It was wrtten by a teenager, Flavia Bujor, who has impressed me with her style of writing. The three lives of the girls, Jade, Amber and Opal, (I'm pretty sure thats their names) collide after being given a gem.

Harry Potter series - J.K Rowling
This series obviously was going to be on my list. I just recently started reading Harry Potter and I have been kicking myself for not reading it earlier. I actually didn't want to read the books before, I just watched the movies. I don't know what got me reading them, but I've been really enjoying them so far. I'm up to the third book ^^ (I love Ron!)

Heartbeat - Sharon Creech
whoa! how bad is that picture of the book! anyway, this book has been written in poetic form and takes you along Annie's emotional states. You are taken on a journey along with Annie as she runs and reflects on her life.

A Series of Unfortunate Events - Lemony Snicket
I totally fell in love with this series after watching the movie. I love the kind of stories involving secrets and mysteries and what not. Generally, I love stories with spooky, wierd and crazy stuff. Lemony Snicket gives the 3 main characters (Sunny, Klaus & Violet) such different personalities and I love it when they do that, just like in Charmed how every sister is different.

The Princess Diaries - Meg Cabot
I absolutely love this series!! In my opinion every teenage girl should have at least read the first book!
The movie was AWESOME as well!
Julie Andrews and Anne Hathaway are some of my favourite actors!

hahaha. just wanted to add one of my favourite scenes in the movie! "Shut Up!"

Macbeth - William Shakespeare
I just finished reading this a couple of weeks ago for my Shakespeare class at school. I honestly loved the tradgedy of Macbeth. I really liked the supernatural factor in the play, it was really interesting.

Twilight - Stephenie Meyer
for the romantics out there. This isn't just any typical or ordinary romance story, unless you can call vampires and werewolves typical and ordinary. Yes, you too will melt while reading this series by Stephenie Meyer. (if you read Twilight, you MUST read the other books New Moon, Eclispse, Breaing Dawn and any other books that Meyer puts out for this saga)

to many topics for one title..

As you all know, I just recently turned the lovely age of 16. I wasn't really expecting a lot for my birthday, just the iPod touch ^^.

A couple of days after my birthday, my aunts, uncles, cousins and great aunt (Ate Pam, Uncle Mark, Ellysa, Tito James, Tita Arlene , Rhyss, Jack and Tita Menz) came over to my place and greeted me happy birthday. Before all this, they were asking me what I wanted for my birthday. Every time I get asked this, the only answer I come up with is "I don't know... You don't have to get me anything" =) (yes I know, I hate getting that response too when I ask someone what they want for their birthday... it's like jeez. thanks for the help )

They arrived at my place just when I was doing my chores. At that moment, I was preparing rice for dinner. So when they came, I had to quickly finish and they told me to sit down.. I was like "okay... this looks like something major..."

an odd-shaped box was brought out in front of me.. of coarse, I immediately recognised what it was since I've spent practically millions of hours either in my music teacher's studio, music classroom at school or in a music store. Yess.. it was a guitar!

Oh snap! how cool !!! I was literally jumping out of my seat and frantically started to tear the box open, revealing a deep violet/blue guitar.

awww. it was so cute .! A new guitar has practically been perpetual on my wish list and now I can now FINALLY tick it off.

thanks to all my family who pitched in for the guitar! I'm TRULY grateful!

So you might not know this, I'm a fan of boxing, but I am an even BIGGER fan of Manny Paquiao. (I think most filos are anyway) and yesterday was his big fight with Ricky Hatton. Basically all the filos in my neighbourhood gathered in my family room to watch the fight.

The fight began and I was praying so hard that Pacman would win, I think everyone was.
the match started and the room fell silent. The first round was so fast and Manny was so powerful, causing Hatton to fall TWICE! The room was filled with cheering along with nervousness. It was in the second round and Manny was punching hard. there were only 10 seconds left of the round and all of a sudden *POW* Manny lands this massive left hook on Hatton's face and there went Hatton, falling to the ground, COMPLETELY knocked out!!

obviously, the house was flooded with the wild cheers of EVERYONE.. jumping up and down, cheering and hugging.. hahaha .. that was an incredible fight. Hatton didn't stand a chance...

GO MANNY!

I think this is the only match where Manny has a height advantage...
I'm telling you, the match was awesome, except the fact that it was so highly anticipated and it only lasted 6 minutes.!
well.... Pacman's the best !

MAJOR KNOCK OUT! I felt really sorry for Ricky, how embarrassing would it be to be beaten in the second round??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! He looked so out of it. I was actually worried that he was seriously hurt.

VICTORY!

After the match, we rushed to the church because we were celebrating Sanatacruzan. Angelou and Meggy were taking part in it so they were all dressed up and pretty ^^ Angelou was "Queen of Angels"..... *puke* ... yeah right... more like the "Queen of all evil" hahaha.
I'll post the photos up next time coz I can't be bothered right now.. hehehe
anyways, I need to study for my half yearly exams which are creeping close and closer. :S

OK... so yesterday was my "sweet 16th" and yes.. I was kind of dreading it. Another year older! but as the day went on I began accepting the fact that growing old is a part of life. (thanks nikka and athena) We didn't really do much. I was still asleep when my Mum and sister woke up and as usual my sister does her "surprise greeting", where she barges into your room yelling our "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" and you end up literally falling out of bed going "what the heck!" It's quite annoying to be honest. It was really nice of them actually. they really surprised me. all i really wanted for my birthday was an iPod touch and my Dad said that we would just get one from the Philippines. So that meant that I would get my iPod approx. 1 week after my birthday and i was fine with that. When my Dad was talking to me on the phone on day before my birthday, he said that he probably won't be getting it since it was way too expensive there. so there i was, pretty upset that i wasn't going to get my iPod . When my Mum and sister came in, I was only expecting a card and the small badges they tried to hide away from me, but when i looked in the bag i felt a box..."what the? that doesn't feel like badges".... yes... it was the iPod Touch!...

!@#*! WHAT! HOW DID.... HUH?? WHAT'S THIS??... HOW DID??.

(that's really how i reacted)

it turns out that my parents bought it before my Dad went to the Philippines.. so they had to put on their "acting" skills on,.... and i bought it. ^^

hahahaha

so after the whole iPod deal, We went to get my haircut, so right now, I have really thin hair. I'm so used to having really think hair but seriously, it feels like i don't have anymore hair.

For dinner, my cousin cooked pancit (noodles) and longanisa (filoppino sausages), my two favourite foods. mmmmmm. a great dinner that was .

and then for my cake... we used one of the newly released donuts from Krispy Kreme. it was cute ^^

so yeah... there you go, my very sweet 16th.

Thankyou EVERYONE that greeted me, whether it was by msn,txt message or phone call.. seriously, I didn't realise how many people remembered my birthday.

OMGoshh.... it was so good!
wayyyyy better than i expected. seriously, I thought it was going to be like a draggy sort of film, but it totally wasn't despite the fact that it went for almost 3 hours.
You know when you are watching a really good movie and its just about to finish, but you don't want it to just yet because its so darn good?
well, its like that, but only it doesn't finish. You know what i mean? Like that feeling of wanting the movie to keep going continuously happens....grrr this was harder to explain than I thought. -_-"
Like you think its going to finish but then you look at the time its been running and then you find out that you got about 2 hours to go.
*sighs deeply*
ok... its just like really long, but in a really good way...
anyways..
yea and Nicole and Hugh are so great together. they are so cute!!!!! and Nullah is adorable as well.....
awwww the three of them are so cute... like one happy family.

this is just another one of my short obsession phases.. hahaha
but trust me, the movie is extremely good if you are into the whole romance thing. (like me!)
The movie made me cry and smile so much..seriously... i like needed a tissue box next to me. it was kind of funny since i watched AUSTRALIA with my Dad only, haha, and he was like.. just looking at me crying. haha.

sadness and excitement

so this week has been pretty weird or full with emotions.. i don't really know how to explain it.
At the beginning of the week, I was my natural cheery-self, exited and nervous at the same time about turning 16. (geez.... I'm so OLD!) I was fretting over the fact that my birthday was creeping nearer and nearer. grrr... I'm not ready to turn 16 yet!!!!!!!
and then finally in the middle of the week, on the 1st of April, tragedy struck our family with the news of my uncle's death. He was my Dad's brother. Rest In Peace Uncle Elmer. because of his death, my Dad is going to go to the Philippines tomorrow. and to be honest I was very upset. Not just because of my uncle's death, but also the fact that my Dad most probably won't be here for my birthday....
:(
but then i stopped and realised that I shouldn't worry since I will have other birthdays to come, and my Dad should go to the Philippines because, well you know, his brother only dies once...
So yeah, I'm alright with everything now. I'm kinda excited for him to go since he gets to see everybody again, but then again... I'm so jealous... I really want to go.... far out.

trouble with the tablets

wow.. this is my 2nd blog entry in a day...
that's something new.
As you all know by now, I'm sick. and so in order to get better, I need to take some medicine right. Well, I normally take this syrup thingo that taste so yum and I'm so used to it because I've been taking it since I was little. The funny thing is that this medicine is for 0-12 years old. and yes... I'm almost 16.
You see, I really, truly HATE tablets. I have the hardest time swallowing those blasted things. Normally, when I do try and take a tablet, I end up having a gag fest. Go ahead and laugh.
To make things a tad easier, I would slice the table into quarters so I would only have to swallow a small amount at a time. This would normally take me 2 hours (exaggerated of coarse) =)
so tonight when I asked my Dad to buy me the syrup, he lectured me about how old I was and that I was probably the only person who couldn't swallow a tablet. He said he wouldn't buy it for me. =(
he said that I had to take a tablet.
oh crap. i thought to myself.
So he cut it in half for me and I tried to swallow it... and it was way to big.. so i secretly cut the tablet into quarters and I sat at the dinner table by myself and made sure no one was looking so I wouldn't look like a fool in front of anybody in case I had another one of those gagging fits.
to my surprise the little pieces of tablets went down so easily and it only took me 10 minutes to consume. It was never that easy before. I'm so proud of myself and I decided that it was a pretty important deal so I blogged about it ;)

I still hate tablets though...

heyyyoo!

well... long time no type aye?!

well, I managed to gain some valuable free time that seem to be impossible to have these days.

oh... so on Saturday, I went to my cousin Elyssa's birthday at Clown Town.

The place was awesome and it made me wish I was 5 years younger. The slides were MASSIVE!

and there was a rock climbing wall.

I am currently watching the 8 th season of Charmed.... Its getting so good at the moment.. heaps of nail biting moments and "to be continued" episodes.. which are kind of annoying to tell you the truth...

My sister and I have decided to take the seventh season slowly as we are nearing the end of the entire series. !!! I can't believe it. Seriously, I don't want it to end ^^

Usually, Angie and I attack the seasons like there's no tomorrow, finishing the season in less than a week.

But not for the last to seasons..... slowly, we should enjoy the final episodes . =)..

hmmm. Oh my birthday is creeping up!

14th of April.. don't forget it! My parents are taking my sister and I to Queensland to go visit Nikka, my best friend. Then we are going to go to the Gold Coast. I seriously can't wait. I'm kinda scared of turning 16 though. Time has really come and gone quickly.

I've started reading Harry Potter !!!!

Its amazing. I regret not reading it earlier. Right now, I'm almost finished with the first book and I'm excited about going onto the Chamber of secrets.... YAY

OHHHHHH and yesterday, after we went to the airport to drop my Aunt, Uncle and cousins off to the Philippines, My parents took us to DFO and we went to the converse store and I got a new pair of CHUCKS!!!!! FINALLY!

I wanted to get a plain green one.... but the only green one they had was a really ugly snot-colored one... it was kinda gross actually. I love the way it has 2 tongues. haha. that sounds funny...

Hey!! Here's my room and its new colours! soothing aye!

I'm cursed. That's right, cursed! Do you want to know why???

Ok.. so early this week, Athena was talking to me about my phone and asking my when i was going to get a new one since I've had it for so long. I said to her that I didn't need a new one because my phone was just fine. Later that night, my mum, sister and I went to my great aunt's place. When it was time to go home we got into the car. Because it was around 10 in the night, it was dark in the car and nobody could see anything. As I settled down and began to close my car door, I didn't realise that my small, long over-the-shoulder bag was still hanging out of the car. When I closed the door hard, I heard a cracking noise... yupp... you might probably already know what the crack was... it was the screen of my mobile phone. !!!!

That night, I was so upset. I was crying!

...Not to worry, my Mum came to the rescue and got me a new phone on Wednesday. its a Sony Ericsson Walkman 595. Its very cool :)

Hold on! Wait.. the curse does not stop there my dear friends... on the same day as i came home from a busy day at school, excited to receive my new phone, I realised that my iPod was not in my bag where it should have been. I must of left it in my locker then, I thought to myself. I prayed that it was in my locker that night...

Walking to school made me nervous... what if it's not there??? I began to walk a little faster thinking that if I get to my locker as soon as possible, the sooner my heart will calm down. I entered the school library, my hang out every morning, to ask Harveen if she would help me search. As we walked down to the lockers, i prayed some more that it will be there, sitting on the top shelf where I believed I left it. I opened my locker and... OMGOSH! its not there. Harveen and I started to frantically take all my books out of my locker, checking every nook and cranny. Without success, we started emptying my bag. Still nothing.. We even tipped the bag upside down and shook it so hard. With me in total panic mode, I suggested to check in the front office lost property. Racing up to the office, I begged that my iPod would be there. DARN.... nothing. Oh god.... I began having a panic attack, but then Harveen reassured me and said that it was probably at home. I agreed to her and tried to relax. For the whole school day I couldn't get my iPod out of my mind. It was driving me crazy. My iPod was very important to me. Practically my whole life was on that thing. Charmed, Music, Photography, Twilight... EVERYTHING!!!! As you can see, I am emotionally attached to my iPod and mobile.

My iPod isn't at home nor in my bag or locker. Its officially lost. :(

I've been checking the office daily praying that its there.

I guess I was distracted by the idea of my new phone that Wednesday that i wasn't paying much attention to my iPod. I guess that's how it works. If you get something new, you get distracted. hmmmm... I really want my iPod back.

Hello!!
so Athena has been bugging me daily to blog.. so here's the blog !
Last week, during that scorching hot weekend, I painted my room GREEN!!!!
Heaps of people think its weird to choose green, but I don't see why. Its so calming and peaceful!
I love green! and I love my room!
oh.. and it's light purple on the ceiling and my closet doors. To me, it looks nice ^^.
I was so excited to paint my room even the heat couldn't stop me. I was sweating so much while I was doing it.. but I hardly noticed it. I got paint EVERYWHERE!!! seriously.. In my hair, on my foot, on my elbow, on my hands, over my nails, on my clothes and on the carpet -_-
It was sooo much fun though. I got help from my Dad, Mum and my cousin Mike. THANK YOU GUYS!!! God bless you. I really needed that help ^^.

So you know how I was dying to get season 5 of Charmed....
I FINALLY HAVE IT!!!!! YESSSS!!! ITS SOO GOOD... LIKE OMGOSH! SERIOUSLY.. ITS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SEASONS!
It's about time! After almost a month of going insane! I was so happy when my Mum came home and she said that she got season 5 for me! I can't wait for season 6!
I love Charmed! I absolutely can't get enough of it. I think my obsession is getting onto my friends' nerve. I'm always talking about it non- stop. ^^
Oh well!

I JOINED ENVIRONMENT GROUP ! ^^
I've been planning to join it since year 7 and I've only managed to join it now I feel so guilty. I really should have joined earlier. It was enjoyable and comforting to think that I was doing something positive for the environment. Of coarse, Harveen tagged along. We picked out beans or peas... I can't exactly remember, but they were red. We have also decided to join Amnesty International on Wednesdays. I've been to it before and we right letters to leaders and organizations if we think that they are doing something unjustly. umm. what else.. OH YEAH! I'm also planning to donate blood next term when I'm sixteen. I don't know whats gotten over me lately ... but I'm so involved in school! I feel so proud of myself!! ^^

hahahahaa. I recently just found out that my Aunt uploaded and old video of me playing the piano on YouTube. When i first saw it, I LOL-ed so hard and OMG-ed so much, it was hilarious!

YESS! It's back to school.
OHH today was so fun! catching up with friends, meeting new teachers, meeting new students and getting new school supplies. (the school diary this year is very sturdy and organized, unlike last year's piece of poo ^^)
How nerdy am I sounding right now? hahaha.
so lately, I've grown an interest in clothing and accessories. I don't know why, because normally I just chuck on a pair of jeans, a top, sneakers or flats and a random necklace. It's kinda weird, but I'm actually enjoying looking on websites and through magazines for good clothing. To be honest, I used to hate the fashion sections of magazines. I'd always just flip it over un-interestedly.

Goodbye 08 Hello 09!

It's finally the beginning of the year! I know I haven't blogged since..forever.. and I'm so sorry about that.

My holiday has been jammed packed with shopping, parties, family outings, best friend bonding and so on.

You see, my best friend, Nikka, payed me a visit this summer holiday, all the way from Queensland. We haven't seen each other in 2 years so of coarse, serious best-friend bonding was needed. Spending time with her was the best and it was obvious that we are still the best of friends, closer than ever. I miss her so badly since she went back home 2 weeks ago to get things ready for the new school year.

She spent Christmas and New Year with my family and I, which made my holidays even more special.

Nikka also gave me a new look, something that I was frightened to do because I was not sure that the result of the haircut would look good on me. To tell you the truth, there was physical violence involved in the process (don't worry.. it wasn't that bad, just the regular best friend bickering, pushing, screaming and running away. hahaha). She threatened me that if I would not keep still in my chair, she'd shave my hair off. With that, I finally realised that I was not going to win this fight. So Nikka began cutting my bangs and gave me a full front fringe. It looks pretty good and I'm actually glad that she forced me into doing the haircut. THANKS NIKKA!

So what's going on with my life right now you ask. Well, surprise surprise. I have a new obsession. I'll give you clues to guess. :)

guess yet? Yes! It's CHARMED!. The obsession began in my last history elective lesson of the year last year. We were learning about witchcraft that term and our end-of-year-treat was an episode of Charmed. Honestly, I wasn't fond of Charmed before but the episode we watched just grabbed my attention. I haven't stopped watching Charmed ever since. But right now I'm in a crisis. I just finished season 4 and I need season 5 ASAP . My mum bought me season 4 from eBay and I finished it in 4 days. The season ended really well and I urgently need to know what happens next!

You see, I'm Piper Halliwell. That's right. I'm Piper Halliwell. My sister and I do it for practically every movie or TV show that we are into. We survey each other and see who's personality matches with who. My sister is Phoebe, I'm Piper and luckily, Nikka was still with me during this obsession and she was into Charmed as well so she chose to be Prue AND Paige. (hahaha! She said she didn't want to be "dead' for half the series so she shifted characters in season 4. Charmed watchers should understand what I'm rambling about) Right now, since I do not have season 5 yet, I've been feeding my brain with re-runs of Charmed.

So there you go, the story of my Charmed obsession so far.

For some reason, I can't wait to go back to school. I really want to see my friends again. I haven't seen them all holiday. I'm so curious about what classes I'm in and which teachers I have. I guess the reason for my excitement is because Nikka isn't with me anymore and I have nothing else to do at home. I spend most of my remaining days of the school break watching Charmed (obviously), riding my bike and writing in my diary. I think that's why I haven't blogged in a while. I've been writing in my diary more often and I haven't been on the computer as much as before. I'm finding it more convenient to just go and grab my diary and start writing rather than going through the entire computer and Internet hassle. Its fast, quick and private ^^

Anyway, that's enough of my rambling for today. I'm sure that my blogging will be continuous once again after the holiday and school begins.

I must be off now, since I'm not at home at the moment, I'm actually at a family friend's house ^^

i just had my piano exam on Friday.
I was the first one to be examined and i was really nervous.. deep breaths weren't helping me either.
I was pretty disappointed with my performance and the examiner was quite intimidating but I managed to get a B... which wasn't what I wanted but it was pretty good. I received my grade 6 piano pieces and ......ITS SO HARD.!
oh well, I better get to work..
I also have some leisure time piano pieces I've found. Listen to The Hush Sound- "you are the moon".. its very awesome with an incredibly soothing piano part. I can play it ;) + listen to their "wine red" awesome!!!!!!

OK, that was me acting lame.

So today at school we had a training day for peer support next year. You see, next year, I'm going to be in year 10!!!! Can you imagine that??? I can't! It scares the jeebers out of me just thinking about it!
So while I was in "training" I was day dreaming of Twilight... obviously, and I decided that I should create a fictional vampire character.... Jenica Cullen.. I know it doesn't match, but oh well! .
Oh! Unless she can be Jenica Hale!
Who cares. As long as she is a vampire right?
OK... here is my pathetic attempt at making a "unique" vampire:
"Hello, I'm Jenica Katelina Cullen. I'm sixteen years old and I was born on the 14Th of April almost a century ago. Yess.... I'm a vampire and Edward is my brother. Carlisle and Esme are my parents and they take care of my siblings and I extremely well, raising us all up very passionately. I don't have the "love of my life" yet, like the rest of my family, but I'll find him.. somewhere. Esme says that I just have to keep patient, just like Edward and how he found Bella. I was transformed into a vampire by Carlisle in the orphanage I was living in since I was 5. I had developed a very deadly disease and I was dying. Luckily, Carlisle dropped a visit to the orphanage and he and his kind heart turned me into the "beautiful" vampire I am now. I have long wavy black hair and I'm short, but not as short as my sister Alice and definitely not as beautiful as my other sister Rosalie. Most of the time, my eyes are amber, but on some occasions, they are dead black. I don't know why, but they look awesome when they are. Like Alice, Jasper and Edward, I to, have a supernatural power. I am able to lift and move ANYTHING with my eyes. My power is very useful in battles as I am able to through anything at the opponent. The cool thing is that I can even lift Emmett. Hahahaha. I'm also very attached to nature. I love being around tress and animals. Esme and I enjoy gardening and I absolutely love the fact that we live right in the middle of the woods."

Hello!!!!!!!

OK OK... PLEASE DON"T GET ANGRY!

I know I haven't blogged in CENTURIES.simply no time.

so I am extremely thankful for this spare time I have finally been able to obtain. I have chosen to use it wisely to write a new blog. =D

OK .. so let begin .

last month, my sister celebrated her 10Th birthday party. Geez she is shes getting old, that must mean that I'm getting older as well. Darn. You can start calling me "nica the ancient" now. -_-

I was the game planner... or in other words... the sheep herder. The bunch of 10 year old girls were going CRAZY~ Surely, fizzy drinks, chocolate and anything that contained sugar did not help me. My patience was tested as well as my throat.

After the party, Angelou had a little sleep over with her close friends. I of coarse, joined in as their "grown up" to watch over them. Gosh.. talk about rubbing my age in XD. We watched Pirates of the Caribbean and had pillow fights.

My cousin just gradulated last wednesday. It was a really awesome day, celebrating and having fun. She was asked to prepare a speech about her experiences as an international student so it accquired to her to practice those long english words that she found very difficult to pronounce since she still has that Philippino accent. ><>

The audience's response was great as they laughed at her jokes and applauded loudly at the end. So, those hilarious nights with her reciting that speech of hers really did pay off. After the Graduation, we maid our way to Star City. We ate a wonderful dinner and we explored a little bit. (I will post the photos up in another post right after this blog)

OK.. Moving on..So this week has been very tiring and very stressful. The whole of grade 9 just had their yearly exams. GRRRRRR. Exams gives my pimples!!!!! (along with chocolate and sweating,(which occurs a lot of the time)) I only have 1 more exam to go, History elective on Monday. AND I also have mu piano exam in 2 weeks!!!!!! Talk about stress! I practice everyday and I seem to be improving quite a bit.

anyways, I must be off now since its like... late. I will make a new post straight after this to show you guys the pictures of the graduation.

OK, I'm really sorry for the super late/ super un-interesting/ super short blog. I'll try to blog more often! PROMISE!

HELLO HOLIDAYS!

Boy, its nice to finally stay up for as long as I want!

I've been enjoying my holidays, spending time with friends, city-going, seeing wildlife, chatting, surfing the net etc etc.

I went to the movies with my friend HARVEEN to watch my boyfriend on BIG SCREEN ..

SHIA LaBEOUF! Harveen and I have been arguing lately about who owns him.... but obviously... he is MINE! We do agree on one thing though... Megan Fox is our enemy.!!

Wildlife parks are really fun. I've been to two parks already and i haven't grown tired of those cute animals. I must admit that the smell of these places are odd though. I met three talking birds and been scared half to death by a peacock who suddenly landed next to me as i was trying to get a picture of my uncle! --"

OK enough of the holidays...

I feel totally random tonight... Let me tell you 10 random facts about random things...

1) My bedroom is running out of free wall space where I can put up more posters as it is teaming with posters already. I'm not happy, I want a bigger room!

Half of this wall belongs to my sister as she has no bedroom at the moment. Her territory begins when Zac comes.

3) My hair has grown majorly! I don't want to cut it though... i like my "new" look! HAHA

First of all, I want to greet my Ate Pam! HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY! (I messaged you btw ;)

YES! 5 more days 'till school is OUT! WOOOOH!
Have you noticed that every time i blog, i always talk about my "new obsession" or "new hobby"? how funny! I have developed a strong liking of crafting. I've made some jewellery and origami stars and cranes and what not, and I've also began to draw again. (not very well though!) I guess I do to keep my mind of school and stuff like that. I mean, Friday was pretty hard this week. We had a science test (which I studied my brains out) and we had a super hard English exam (which I also studied my brains out for). I also received my developed pictures from my mum and ALL the pictures were ruined!!!!! I took 6 pictures of the Pope on that thing and they were ruined. Only 1 out of 24 pictures turned out OK. grrr. I think I know why it was wrecked and I am so ashamed to say that it was my fault. When were were up at the mountains, I brought along my camera to take some pictures. The film finished so I rewinded <(is that even a word?) it. I thought I was finished so I oped the back cover and ....Sugar Honey Ice Tea!!! It wasn't fully rewinded!!! It got over exposed!!! :'(

oh darnnn. I was so looking forward to seeing my pictures!

enough of the bad news. On the brighter side of this week, I got my naplan results thingo.. you know, with all those bans things.. anyway, I got pretty good marks! I got 1 ban 10 (the highest ban) and the rest ban 9! (except for maths where I got ban 8) For me, that is pretty good, I don't want to sound braggy or anything. Oh.. and I also got my maths test results back! I can't remember exactly what I got, but it was very good! I've gotten better at maths! Finally, about darn time!

This is a doll hand made by a Peruvian lady. I was touched by the story a volunteer told the students of my school about the poverty happening around the world. They sold the toys that these poor, untrained ladies created and the money was sent directly to them. I immediately fell in love with this one. She has so much detail and it is unbelievable that an untrained woman made this beautiful doll. I named her Lulu.

OK, so this week I have discovered that I have new hobby. Can any of you guess?
Its memorising the capital cities of each and every country there is on this planet. Yes... go on, laugh at me and tell me to get a life (as many of my friends tell me to do) HAHA. I have already been labelled "nerd" but I don't care since I agree anyway (I'm Nerdy by Nature) This is what I get up to in my spare time, I'm a very constructive person (as Sheenal told me) and I do not like wasting my time. Its quite fun actually. Last night I memorised all the European countries and their capitals. Do you know what Iceland's capital is? Its Reykjavik... I always get that one wrong! Tonight, I'm off to study the middle east. All those "stan" countries have hard-to-pronounce capitals. The next week, I travel down to Africa then America. Yes, that is my travel itinerary from next week. Athena, Christelle and I play wierded out games on the train, just to help me memorise the countries. Its hilarious since Christelle is totally clueless!
(oh and I'm chewing on gum... hence the title of this blog =D is chewing gum good for you?)
Eclipse is getting interesting again. See, I told you I just need that little push!. You'll see me on the train frantically reading the book!
Today the temperature was warm. SPRING HAS FINALLY COME! YAY.
Oh and remember that costume day for school i was talking about last week? Well, it RAINED! Talk about raining on the parade! It was quite fun though towards the end when we had the disco.. super crowed, super smelly, super loud. I must say that I'm not that wild party type, but what the hey, why not?
I have to play tennis tomorrow but sadly, I'm not in the mood for it. I haven't been practicing with Dad for a while, which makes me so rusty! I'm mad at myself for not practicing!
That's basically it. Nothing major this week.

well well well. long time no blog aye.
I apologize for that. I seem to be developing blogcrastination again. =(
I am glad to say that I have fully recovered from the disease or whatever it is I had a couple of weeks ago. Catching up to the school work I missed was hard. I didn't realize that I missed so much!
Last week, was one of my most jammed pack weeks of my life! assignment after assignment after assignment! Don't these teachers communicate with each other? Don't they know that giving me 10 or more assignments at that same time can give me permanent brain damage? I mean my sister already bashes me head up with a pillow when she gets angry at me, which kills most of my brain cells! NO WONDER I'M SO DUMB!
I , however, am enjoying my English classes. We are currently studying Shakespeare's OTHELLO and it is AWESOME! At first, I was like " what is Iago going on about" and "translation please!", but now, I'm actually enjoying it. The story is timeless and interesting. We are also watching the movie OTHELLO starring... LAURENCE FISHBURNE! Everytime I see him, I can't help to think about Morpheus from the Matrix. Everything lately is being linked to the Matrix. A common obsession phase I go through.
Tomorrow is going to be a fun day at school. We are to dress up as a Disney character and I have chosen to go as Lilo (Lilo and Stitch) in her hula skirt. Sadly to say, that I will not be wearing that pink bra thing she wears, I think they'll give me detention for that! HAHAHA. I begged my friend (harveen) to go as Stitch, but she decided to go all boring on me and just wear a Disney shirt and jeans! How unfair? Its not that hard to dress up as Stitch, all you need to do is wear blue and buy big ears! I mean, I'm also going to wear a Disney shirt, so that makes me kinda like a "2in1" if you will. ;)
On the weekend, my uncle and auntie spoke to me about what I wanted to do when I finished school. I didn't realise that I hat no idea what I wanted to do! A silent panic attack occured in my mind as we spoke. What if I don't get a good job? hmmmm. I'm DOOMED! Any suggestions anyone? PLEASE HELP!
Some more random facts about my life... I have strangely become addicted to Tetris.. oh and the Rubix Cube. I'm getting better at both these mind boggling games. =D My interest in the Royal families is creeping in again, as Princess Mary and Prince Freddy (that handsome fellow.hehehe) are on the news frequently. GRRR, how I want to experience even just one princess day! Maybe that will be my future, my job, I'll be in a bar.. or somewhere else.. and I'll find my REAL prince who will marry me, and I'll become princess of whatever country his family rules. You never know, it can all happen.
I no longer want to finish Eclipse as Jacob Black is annoying my guts. I always have this problem with the TWILIGHT saga. (Stephenie Meyer, if you are reading this blog... you are one hell of a genius!) Everytime Jacob come into the scene, I reduce my reading speed and prey that he goes away soon. I always need that little push from my TWILIGHT ZOMBIE FRIENDS. They force me to read and read until I'm back on track. Thanks to all the zombies in my life! haha. I'm currently reading (besides Othello) "UFO in the USA" (David Hackett I think) It is HILARIOUS! My friend (harveen) and I sit in the library at lunch time (whatever, call us geeks and we don't care ;P) and laugh our heads off as we read the rib-tickling lines from the book.
well. I must be off. I have to prepare my costume for tomorrow!

Excellent. My cough has progessed into a more serious condition. I am seriously coughing me brains out! I didn't go to school today, which is very rare since I haven't been absent all year, ask any of my friends. I had a perfect attendance record until today!!!! MY RECORD IS RUINED!!! grrrr. curse whoever gave my this stupid disease. LOL.

So what did I do all day?? well. I ; slept, ate, watched the olympics, slept, drank medicine, forced myself to play the piano, and drank more medicine. Yes, my very interesting day.

Moving on... Ok. for english, we are covering the area of study "Overcoming adversities" and we are to collect additional materials. I have 1, "little miss sunshine" and i'm thinking of doing "the persuit of happiness". Do any of you have any other suggestions?? Our class is excrutiatingly B O R I N G!!! grrr.

anyway.

I need to finish 'eclipse' FAST! i really want to buy 'breaking dawn' The story is getting better and better each page! Bella and Edward are so cute!!!

speaking of cute, I always watch "so you think you can dance america" and Napoleon and Tabitha (hip hop choreographers) are adorable together! Lucky that they are married! And their hip hop routines are AWESOME! you know how everyone has couple names like "brangelina" and "tomkat" well, their couple name is NAPPYTABS! HOW FUNNY!

Yesterday was a funny afternoon with lana. i was teaching her tagalog (filipino) and I tought her "You're so ugly! I want to burn your face off! Your face makes my wanna throw up!" hahaahah. it was halarious!

Last Saturday my family had our 10th aniversery. 10 years living in Australia! Whoa. That's a LONG time. I also won my first tennis match! It was so cool because my partner is my arch enemy (when we verse each other in singles!) LOL AND WE SMASHED THE OTHERS!!!! AHAHAHAHA! 12-4!!!! Sadly, I am not able to go to my tennis coaching tomorrow. I'm pretty sure you know why. Its because I'm darn SICK. I was trying to attemp my first winter where I didn't get sick. I was half way there until... BAMM on come the virus!

I'm watching So You Think You Can Dance right now and napoleon and Tabitha are the judges tonight! SO CUTE! My Daddy always mimics Mary and the way she screams and laughs. Its so funny, she laughs like she is coughing! Katee and Joshua are my favourite dancers. They are so versitile! My sister and I always copy there dance moves. I'm pretty sure that if anyone saw us dancing, their eyes would burn!!! HAHAHA

I recently went to the Sydney International Piano Competition in the Opera House.
GEEZ! THEY BLEW ME AWAY!
They make me look Literally like crap. despite the fact that I've been playing the piano for 8 joyous years, those guys looked like they weren't even touching the key board! They were so fast!
And yes, the Sydney Orchestra was there as well, playing so beautifully. I wish i could play the violin like them. I tried to cound how many string instruments were there, but there were so many!
Speaking of violins...
today, I joined the school's string ensemble. It was by accident. HAHAHA. I was only supposed to put my violin in the storage room for music class. It had slipped my ming that today was Tuesday, the morning when the string ensemble get together in the music room. So I accidentle ran into my music teacher and my other instrument-playing friends. She demanded I sit down and play with the other violin girls.
It was suprisingly so much fun, so I joined! HAHAHA. yes. the story of my life.
its currently past my "bed-time" but I don't want to go to sleep yet. My parents re-arranged my furniture in my room and it is more spacious. i can move around freely now without bumping into my study table and drawers. Breaking dawn came out yesterday..BUT I STILL HAVEN'T FINISHED ECLIPSE! curse jacob. Oh and curse the english book I have to read. I seriously think it is BORING. I don't normally get bored, but this book is killing me.
I don't want to say what it is because that will be mean to the author.

how are you all?
well . last week has been my lucky week. My parents have given me a new camera, a LAPTOP and a new tennis racket.
i wonder why??
OH and yeah, i finally get my well deserved allowance.
$5 a week, which is good enough considering that i never used to get any allowance in the first place!!!
So, right now I'm doing my music research homework about the composer William Byrd. It is going quite well, and I'm finding his songs quite addictive, which is weird since he was a composer from the time of renaissance! yes...that's right, I'm listening to REEAALLLYYYYY old music.
LOL
and so life goes on, with freezing mornings and nights. I can never feel my toes at night!
I'm reading eclipse and i am hoping that i will be able to finish it before breaking dawn comes out in august.
the chosen cast for twilight were chosen perfectly.
especially the Cullens.
i think Jasper and Alice are really adorable!!!
I'm on my laptop now,

Hello dear bloggers.
If you are wondering what in the world my title means, it means that I have finally finished my half-yearly exams and I will no longer need to lock myself up in my room and bury my head in study notes. it feels GREAT! I have escaped from the prison bars of my exam notes. I missed the feeling of having nothing to do after school. I really have to learn to study in advance. I struggled as I found that one week of study is not enough for grade 9! Anyway, enough of that, thinking of exams make me dizzy!

My mom was searching around eBay and she found a pentax p30n camera!!! She bidded, and WE WON! YAYYY! that means that my photographic obsession will still go on. I can't wait 'till it arrives. My next must-have-camera on my list is a Polaroid camera!! How cool are those things??

Moving on... I have a freakishly new liking which developed due to my love of the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer and my current English topic genre. GOTHIC!!! I'm not going to turn into one though. Don't go jumping to conclusions! I really like Gothic story lines and their awesome names! I have chosen my "gothic" name is Aurora Ariel Blackglitter Salem. LOL I chose 2 first names and 2 second names. AWESOME!!

My sister and I are making a video website where we post the most stupidest videos. It isn't completed yet, but hopefully, with the extra help of Alana,it will be a success. Keep a look out for THE SECRET COMPARTMENT.

I have to go now since i have once again taken heaps long to write this short blog. it is now 10 o'clock and my eyes are telling me to go to sleep.

BAD HABITS!

Sorry!!!
I know I haven't blogged in over 2 weeks now. I'm pretty sure its because of the disorder I have. There is no name for it, nor is it an official disorder. I just made it up. HEHE.
It's.....blogcrastination disorder. yup!!
HEHEHE.HAHAHA. -_-
I know, it is very bad to procrastinate, but i have been doing it for good reasons. SCHOOL WORK! I mean, procrastinating a blog is better than procrastinating school work.
ANYWAY. Enough of all that.
I have decided that this blog entry will random, just as much as me.
let us begin with the randomness.
1) Do you know what i have been realising? That kids nowadays don't say beautiful that often. We commonly use "pretty", "cute", "hot" and so on and so forth.
2) Another observation. I knew this for quite some time, but I thought that it was random enough for this blog. My right foot is BIGGER than the other!! HOW WEIRDED OUT IS THAT?? This is the reason why I sadly can not wear pretty shoes. T_T
3) My friendship group at school have grown a new obsession. JONAS BROTHERS!! WOOOH. Some of us have also gained new idols. SELENA GOMEZ & DEMI LOVATO!!! OMGosh! They are so pretty. !!
4) I'm envious of Miranda Kerr for she is dating my McHottie (Orlando Bloom) !!! To tell you the truth, they do make a cute couple, and who am I kidding?? I'm only a teenager and i live so far away from him! How and I supposed to meet him?
5) Rubik Cubes make me dizzy, and i can only complete one side of it!
6) I am going to read books faster, for I have a reputation of reading at a snail pace. Twilight as taken me 4 months to complete, and I'm still reading it!!
7) Winter is my favourite season. I love beanies, gloves, scarves, coats!
8) Blogging and Photoshopping relaxes my mind. Except when I can't think of what to blog about and when my photoshop knowledge seems to be the size of a peanut. !!
9) F.R.I.E.N.D.S is my FAVOURITE TV show in the entire world. ! (this will be my topic for my next blog)
10) I find it annoying when I'm at school and i think of a really good topic to blog about, and then when i get back home, I forget what that topic was.
11) I have to go now since i need to study for a maths test tomorrow. !!!

Hey fellows Bloggers!!

Sorry for not blogging for a while. (Sorry dear Athena)!!

Anyway.

This is just a quick update of what I have been up to lately this Autumn holidays.

I had a birthday on the 14Th, and may I add that it was awesome.

I watched SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES and that was also awesome.!! One of the best story line ever. My Dad watched it with us also. My sister was scared of the movie that I heard my Dad giving her advice. He said "just don't blink". 0_o L O L

For my sister's sake, I came with her to the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL ICE TOUR!

We were seated in the highest level, for my aunt bought the tickets late.

Never the less, the seats were great. I got really dizzy and I couldn't move as much for I am cowardly

afraid of heights, sadly to say. The show was really good and the skating was very impressive.

THEY RIPPED TROY'S SHIRT OFF! hahahaha.

Because we were seated up the top, we decided that we needed to bring binoculars. We all looked weird with those things. but hey, it did help us see the skaters better.

Moving on...

I have been on the computer for quite some time now. this is because I have to research for my school assignments. It kind of buggs me that I have to do school work on holidays, but I guess that's what high school is all about. I've been photoshopping as well. and I have become slightly better in fixing photos with effects and techniques. I love creating art. Well, at least attempting to create art.

Along with my so called "art", I have also been making collages and madly ripping pages and pages out of magazine

and pasting whatever I can find onto a piece of paper. It is quite fun, although the mess I leave behind is difficult to clean up because it contains tiny pieces of trimmed paper.

Anyway....

I need to wrap this up so I can finish off my work that i need to do.

TRIXIA NIKKA

One of my most favourite people in the world. Her name is Tixia Nikka (lastname), sorry, I don't put surnames on blogs ^^

Anyway. We met in kindergarten, which happens to be a very long time ago, in the library. It was a coincidence that we both just migrated from the Philippines. Our English abilities weren't as great as our other class mates, so we turned to each other and started to talk our own language. (look at us now, we are both in advanced English, NOT BRAGGING OR ANYTHING). We became best friends since then. Then, sadly our friendship was stretched when i had to move school. It was hard, because we really wanted to be in grade 6 together. Amazingly, we were strong enough to mend that slight dilemma with a simple solution. every weekend, I would call her house and ask her if she wanted to sleepover. She would then come over every weekend, yes I am serious, EVERY SATURDAY MORNING! We would do stupid things like race up and down the street, pretend we were cheerleaders and create cheers, (this idea was taken from "Bring it on") stay up late watching weird TV shows on foxtel, attempting to compete an entire puzzle booklet in a night, karaoke, the list can go on forever! Both of us thought that we were pretty smart for figuring this easy solution, but what we weren't prepared for was moving to a whole different city... This news was disaster. Our families have become close and now we were being torn apart. We didn't quite enjoy helping them move all their things into to truck that was destined to arrive at the new home town approx. 16 hours away by car. It was so weird seeing the house empty. As the men worked on emptying the garage, Nikka, her brother Troy and I laid down on the plastic chairs that seemed to be the only thing left in their backyard, we enjoyed the sunlight and just talked. We were too sad to continue packing.

The time finally came and we said our goodbyes. It was upsetting to think that my best friend will no longer be there to call every week end. Letters via snail mail was one of our first main ways to stay in touch. Cute, little letters were sent back and forth from her place to mine. The letters eventually grew in sizes which made me smile a lot more. The occasional phone call seemed to brighten up my entire day.

As we both grew older, technology became advanced and communicating seemed to get easier. Even though distance was not our friend, technology was. Her family came to visit us almost every year. This solution to our situation was fine with all of us, even though it was a bit expensive for the petrol., nothing could keep a friendship as strong as ours apart. Time passes by and our friendship is still as strong as it was back then in kindergarten, perhaps even stronger.

This topic that I have just blogged about may seem totally random, but the reason why I typed a blog up dedicated to our friendship is because she called me last night (well, about 5 times actually, due to many interruptions) and our conversation lasted for about 90 minutes. Probably the longest telephone conversation i have ever had. I kept thinking of our convo today which prevented me from thinking of anything else. hahaha. Nikka suggested that we make a story about our friendship, don't ask me why, ask her. We kept on talking about the things that happened to us when she still lived down here. We didn't realise how lame we used to be! HAHAHA.

As we laughed together 'till we ran out of air, I got teary because I really miss her a lot. I'm glad she hasn't abandoned me, or forgotten me, and I'm glad that I didn't either. We are planning to go on a world trip someday and visit countries and cities that are on our "must travel list" . There is a possibility that she might move back down here again and we will be able to bond even more.

Did you know that my nick name is NICA and her name is NIKKA? They are pronounced the same by the way. We were also born in the same hospital! We've known each other for 10 years, and as Nikka would say, " 10 years and still county"

I reckon our story is unique with difficult situations that needed mending. We were able to do so and to also keep our faith up for each other.

This just goes to show that "bestfriend" is not a label, it's a promise.

Friday, Friday, Friday, my most beloved day of the week. Its the day when I get to stay on the computer doing whatever I please, until my already tiny eyes begin to shrink even more and i discover that i can not open them once again.

As I waited for the final school bell to ring in music class, I was thinking of what i should blab about on my pathetically empty blog... nothing. zilch. ZERO IDEAS!

The train ride home was my last chance to think of something brilliant to post. Darn. All that precious time wasted thinking of the books that i have to read. FOCUS NOW! ...

Do you believe in angels?

A long time ago, when i was young, i mean YOUNGER because i still am young. Anyway, back to the story. When i was younger, i remember my grandma telling me a story about guardian angels. She told me that every one in the whole world had a guardian angel that watched over us all the time. The funny thing was that I thought they were babies that clung onto our backs, so i used to scoop up my guardian angel from my back and cradle it in my arms. I used to take care of it like and invisible friend. I used to talk to it, feed it, play with it.. everything you could think of.
The thought of guardian angels make me feel safer in our dangerous world where the pure feeling of safeness is hard to find.

my definition of GUARDIAN ANGEL:
an angel that God has sent to protect and watch over a person.
everyone has one =D

heyy. Well.
here it goes, my firt blog EVER. I decided to create a blog since my friends made one for their I.T classes and i got interested. My Blog Spot name: sweet powwow. or in other words :sweet conversation. hahaha. I'm not quite sure how i came up with that name, i just looked in the dictionary in the "P" section and found POWWOW.
BTW.
what am i supposed to write in a blog? People say you can write about anything. T__T
